Hello Again

Okay, okay I'm a useless blogger. I admitted before. And I'm admitting it again. But what is it about some people who want to tell the world what they're doing all the time? They must have a lot of time on their hands. I don't. Anyway, I'm back here to apologize for being away and not updating the site, etc. etc.I'm also here to tell you that there will be a new Children of the Lamp Book - number 5 - in December. I'm still getting emails asking if there's going to be a Book 3, and 4? Where have you been? Do try to keep up. I also have a new book out in June which is for kids but which has nothing to do with COTL. It's called One Small Step, it's published by Simon and Schuster and just in case you have managed to forget my name it's by me, P.B.Kerr. It's set in 1968 in Texas and it's about a 12 year old boy called Scott Macleod. So if you're a twelve year old boy and you happen to live in Texas it'll be right up your alley. Oh yes, it's about the space program, too. Remember that? When America went to the moon? Well you don't but I do. Anyway I hope you enjoy it. And as before if you want to write to me do it this way -by email to pbk@pbkerr.com. Don't expect me to answer blog comments. I don't have the time. But I promise to answer all emails, personally. Deal?

February Blog

People keep emailing me to ask if there is a fourth book coming. There is. It will be published in September, depending on where you live. The title will be something like The Day of the Djinn Warriors. After that there will be a Book Five. No idea what that's called yet but its' set in India.

I've had lots of interesting conversations with Dreamworks about the movie. There's a nice lady there called Nina Jacobson whose kids love the books. Anyway it looks like a script of Book One is finally underway. So if you want to be in the movie you'd better email her. I don't have her email I'm afraid. But do not forget my kids and her kids will have priority when it comes to casting. (Just kidding) I'd welcome any suggestions for casting the main parts. That means who do you think ought to play Nimrod and Mister Groanin and Mister Rakshasas, and Iblis. Stuff like that.

Meanwhile I turn 51 on February 22nd. Boo hoo. Doesn't seem like five minutes since I was going to school. I've turned into my Dad!!! Be warned. It happens to us all. There's a story by Franz Kafka called Metamorphosis about a young man who turns into a cockroach. Overnight. I guess that's more shocking. But here's the thing. When you're 15 - the obsverse of 51, kind of - you think you have an eternity of time ahead of you. Well guess what? You don't. Thus the Latin axiom, Carpe Diem. Seize the Day. In other words find youself an ambition. Decide what you want to do with your life. I did. And look at me. Yeah......I'm 51.
